Axiom are self evidently true and don't to be demonstrated. Is that correct? A great deal that was considered axiomatic in past Centuries later turned out to be false.

"Axioms are not self-evident truths in any sort of rational system, they are unprovable assumptions whose truth or falsehood should always be mentally prefaced with an implicit ``If we assume that...." [1]

Liberals need to question what we are told are axioms because everything liberals believe should ideally be rooted in facts and science.

Conservative Axiom are assumptions (usually false). One could expect a conservative to have many supposed axioms, most of which contradict science, logic and common decency.
