A drone (officially known as a UAV, an unmanned aerial vehicle) is a type of aircraft that isn't controlled by a pilot on board. In most cases, UAVs are controlled from a remote location, though autonomous UAVs also exist. This is President Obama's weapon of choice.

Drone attacks abroadEdit

Since 2001, the U.S. government has been using drones to attack targets in Afghanistan, Pakistan and Uzbekistan. While the official targets of these attacks were suspected terrorists and terrorist leaders, the UAV attacks have dealt out a great amount of collateral damage as well as killing terrorists and their leaders.
