The Eastern Bloc or Communist Bloc during the Cold War refers to the countries allied with the Soviet Union and against the United States and its NATO allies. It is often confused with Eastern Europe or Eastern World. Eastern Bloc was a part of the West that adopted communism.
The Eastern block included countries in the Balkans, eastern Europe and central European countries, some Asian countries and one Latin American island country, Cuba. The Eastern Bloc were all Totalitarian Dictatorships.
