Elton John in Norway

Elton John playing the piano in a concert

Elton John
is one of the most talented and best known singer/songwriters to come from the UK.

He released his first album in 1969; hardly anybody noticed, but during the early 70's he released many more albums, and gradually became well known, and eventually an international star. He is also a do-gooder and a great liberal activist who fights especially hard for LGBT rights, as he is gay himself and in a domestic partnership with David Furnish. They both have a son via in vitro fertilization together.
