Herbert Clark Hoover was the 31st President of the United States. He is known as the father of the Great Depression, though it would be a more fitting title for Calvin Coolidge. Nonetheless, Hoover was a bad president and would be succeeded by one of the best presidents and most liberal of all time by far, FDR. He did create Glass-Steagall, so there's that.
