Jackelopes are magnificent fictional creatures that can't be real but we imagine dwell in the northwestern to western portion of the United States as well as areas of Canada. Atop their head is a pair of deer-like antlers and a bushy brow, giving them a majestic appearance. They prefer solitude and often frolic in the fields. Their main food source is vegetation and nuts and seeds, although they have been known to hop away with campers' food from time to time. More than anything, anyone viewing a jackelope need be warned of their potential aggression - they are very territorial and give off a surprisingly shrill cry when disturbed. Oh, and they generally get along with squirrels and yetis and Crockaducks.
