John Richard Kasich is an American politician and the 69th and current Governor of Ohio, elected to the office in 2010 and reelected in the 2014 election. Kasich dropped out as a Republican Party Presidential hopeful.

Sensible ideasEdit

John Kasich is more sensible than many in his party and admits:

Let me tell you something. I've about had it with these people. Let me tell you why. We got one candidate that says we ought to abolish Medicaid and Medicare. You ever heard anything so crazy as that, telling our people in this country who are seniors or about to be seniors that we're going to abolish Medicaid and Medicare. We got people proposing healthcare reform that is going to leave, I believe, millions of people without adequate health insurance. What has happened to our [Republican] party? What has happened to the conservative movement? [1]

Harsh policiesEdit

Kasich tried to bash Labor unions but the Ohio voters rejected the measure. He made it harder for Ohio women to get Abortions and forced many Ohio abortion clinics to close. Kasich even wants women forced to continue a pregnancy if the fetus has Downs syndrome. [1]

2016 raceEdit

He said that he would "Win by open Convention" in 2016. He said "It will be so cool" as a follow-up! He was 3rd against Ted Cruz and Donald Trump (who were respectively 2nd and 1st) for a while, but then in March, he overtook Cruz in many polls! He dropped out on the 4th of May with 159 delegates, it was more than I could ever get, but it was little enough to be mathematically exterminated from the chances of nomination, and to be vilified by Donald Trump, "What's he even DOING here?"!
