Laura Lane Welch Bush (born November 4, 1946) is the wife of the 43rd President of the United States, George W. Bush.

Actually is pro-gay marriage and pro-choiceEdit

On May 11, 2010, during an interview on Larry King Live, Bush was asked about Gay marriage. She said she views it as a generational issue and said she believes it will be made legal in the future. Bush offered support for the issue by saying, "...when couples are committed to each other and love each other...they ought to have the same sort of rights that everyone has." Bush referred to her 2000 interview, reaffirming her Pro-choice position and support for Roe v. Wade: "I think it's important that (abortion) remain legal. Because I think it's important for people - that for medical reasons and, and other reasons."

Not everyone likes her, though.

Fastest flip-flop in historyEdit

In an interview with CNN's John King on May 3, 2006, when a question of illegal immigration and people performing the U.S. national anthem in Spanish came up, Laura first said that there's nothing wrong with singing the anthem in Spanish, then, after she was told that disagreed with her husband's opinion on the matter, changed her mind by saying it should be sung in English. It only took her 25 seconds to switch to a completely opposite opinion. [1] Try thinking for yourself, Laura.
