Lawrence Francis O'Donnell, Jr., born on November 7, 1951 in Boston, Massachusetts, is an American Liberal political analyst and host of "The Last Word with Lawrence O'Donnell", a weeknight news program that first aired at 10 p.m. Eastern, but moved to the 8 p.m. slot, replacing the former MSNBC host and good liberal pundit Keith Olbermann's "Countdown with Keith Olbermann" on January 21, 2011. O'Donnell frequently filled in as substitute host of Countdown before getting his own show on the cable network on September 27, 2010.
