Matthew Dean Dodge (born May 30, 1987 in Morehead City, North Carolina) is a punter for the New York Giants after being drafted by them in the 2010 NFL Draft. Dodge played Pop Warner Football and high school football for West Carteret High School where he attended from 2001-2005. He was also elected to play in the 2004 Shrine Bowl. He attended Appalachian State University before transferring to East Carolina University where he went on to graduate and majored in construction management.

He was also a member of the Fellowship of Christian Athletes chapter at West Carteret and is a conservative Republican  from The South totally into sports. His parents, Randy and Rebekah "Becky" Dodge along with his other five siblings including brothers Nate, Christopher, and sisters Joanna, Elizabeth, and sister-in-law Kelly are Republicans as well. His hometown church is Open Door Baptist Church which is also in Morehead City. He is like Tim Tebow, only not as popular. He supported Mitt Romney.
