The Nobel Prize was started by businessman and scientist, Alfred Nobel, who first invented dynamite, then decided intellectual achievement was better than dynamite. Throughout the world the Nobel Prize is respected as the most impressive honour that one can get for using the brain well. Those brainboxes who win the Nobel Prize are called Nobel Laureates and get an impressive gold disk as well as a large sum of money.
