Orly Taitz

So, so true...

Orly Taitz is a Conservative lawyer and activist from California. She is best known for her constant law suits against Democrats on behalf of Republicans. She is also an extreme critic of President Obama and is a leading activist in the birther conspiracy theories. During the 2010 elections she was a candidate for the Republican nomination to run for California's Secretary of State, but lost the nomination by over 900,000 votes. In August 2010, her attempts to misuse the legal system led to her being forced to pay a $20,000 fine. Doesn't she understand the law well enough to know you shouldn't misuse it? The answer, of course, is no.

Law SuitsEdit

In November 2008, she sued California's Secretary of State on behalf of ultra-conservative presidential candidate Alan Keyes. She sued California's Secretary of State for allegedly failing to ascertain Obama's eligibility for president before placing him on the ballot. The case was dismissed on May 4, 2009.

In 2008, she filed an emergency petition in the California Supreme Court on behalf of the Libertarian party's Vice-presidential candidate, Gail Lightfoot. This petition urged the court to stop the certification of California's 2008 election results. The California Supreme Court denied the petition, and to hear the case.

She represented Stefan F. Cook, a Major in the United States Army Reserve. Cook challenged his order to be deployed to Afghanistan, claiming that Obama is not a legitimate president. The case was dismissed when the Army Reserve revoked his order to deploy.

In January 2010, she in propria persona, filed a petition for writ of quo warranto. On April 14, 2010, U.S. District Court Chief Judge Royce C. Lamberth dismissed the petition.

In June 2010, she most recently attempted to abuse the legal system by suing Damon Dunn. This came after he defeated her for the Republican nomination to run for the office of California's Secretary of State.[1] Her lawsuit in the Orange County Superior Court is contesting the election results, and is again alleging his ineligibility to be a candidate.
