Representative Patrick Murphy, (D)-PA is a liberal Democrat who represented a district in Pennsylvania. Murphy is an Iraq War veteran and saw at first hand how the policies of George W. Bush failed. In his book "Taking the Hill" he writes about his experiences in the failed neoconservative blood for oil wars of 2003 to the present, in which he served as a member of the JAG corps.
Murphy is currently outside the House but is still active helping the Democrats.
Murphy, 38, isn’t done with politics yet. He campaigns and fundraises for candidates across the country. He talks about House races thousands of miles away from his Bucks County home. And at this convention, the Pennsylvania delegate served as vice chairman of his party’s platform committee.
