Primates are smart mammals, with the large brains. Examples include humans, chimpanzees, which include U.S. former president George W. Bush (the smirking chimp), gorillas, Orangs other apes and monkeys. It has been proven that the majority of non-human primates are smarter than the average conservative.
There are more 300 species of primates in the world from humans and apes to monkeys and prosimians ("premonkeys"). Several primate species have been discovered in Brazil and Madagascar in recent years. The smallest primate is the pygmy mouse lemur, which can fit in the palm of your hand. The largest—the gorilla—can weigh more than 400 pounds. Most primates live in warm climates, and most depend on forests for their survival.
Primates have many interesting features, higher primates, monkeys, apes and humans can move their/our thumbs separately from their/our other fingers which is handy for grasping branches and for using tools. Primates have better colour vision and detailed vision than other mammals so primates can see what we're doing.
