The sky is blue.

A self-evident truth is something that is known, not through a chain of logic, but in itself.

For example, it is a self-evident truth that the sky is blue. We didn't come to the conclusion that the sky is blue from some chain of logic. Rather, we know it is blue because we can observe it.

All chains of logic ultimately end up at self-evident truths. Each premise is justified, ultimately leading to our experiences.

  1. Liberals base their logic off of self-evident truths.
  2. Conservatives base their "logic" off of random bullshit.
