Ted Kennedy (D-MA)

Edward Moore "Ted" Kennedy (D - Massachusetts) was one of the oldest (not Robert Byrd old, but still quite old) members of the United States Senate. Ted Kennedy was the younger brother of former president John F. Kennedy and Senator Robert F. Kennedy both of whom were assassinated. Because of the Kennedy Curse, Ted accidentally killed a campaign worker in a car crash.

Ted Kennedy was also a very Progressive Senator earning respect from Democrats and Republicans for his staunch progressive values. His constituents regularly re-elected him.

He reached out to the Survivors of 9/11.[1]

He endorsed Barack Obama for 2008 President.[2] That was a good choice as Obama won so convincingly.

Ted Kennedy died on August 25th 2009 at the age of 77 after a battle with brain cancer.[3]
