The Sex Pistols are probably the most famous British punk band around. They formed in 1975, their initial existence lasting only 22 months until 1978, but they remain one of the most influential and controversial bands in rock 'n' roll history.

Since their break up in 1978, they've staged reunion tours in 1996, 2002-2003, and 2007 to the present day.
