Walter Cronkite was the most trustworthy anchorman who ever lived. He was known for being direct and his catchphrase "And that's the way it was". Sadly, with his retirement from news, we saw the rise of things like Fox News.

Walter Cronkite reported on any number of historic events from World War II through to 1980 when he retired.
